King fish locations: there are six named kings, not seven. Water, season, time and bait are in the table below. Glowfish King has the narrow window: autumn, Bug Bait, 00:00–02:00. The community Angler page lists six species, but Expert Angler asks for two King fish, not every entry in this table.

For the Glowfish King, match autumn, Bug Bait and 00:00–02:00 before choosing a fishing spot. Older player posts call the waterfall area Spore Cascade; the landmark they describe is the first bubble bridge in Dreamfall Garden. Ocean kings split by sea: Coral Sea, Celestewave, Luminwave. River kings split by season.
How Fishing Unlocks
Delphin mails you on Summer 3. Cast on green bobber preview. Expert Angler asks for two King fish; it does not require catching all six species. Meat Bait for the ocean kings; Bug Bait for Glowfish. See make money if you are selling extras.
Plan a King-fish attempt
Choose the species around the season and time you already have. The two river kings cover different seasons; ocean kings use Meat Bait but have different time windows. For Glowfish King, pack Bug Bait and arrive at the Moonlit Forest waterfall/bubble-bridge area before midnight. Cast during 00:00–02:00 in autumn, then confirm the caught fish’s name rather than assuming any glowing fish is the King.
The waterfall/bubble-bridge directions come from dated player reports, not a new official coordinate map. One player described fishing from the bubble bridge facing away from the naturally spawning fish, keeping bait-spawned fish separate. That is a practical casting suggestion, not a guaranteed spawn trick. The reports describe several nights of attempts and do not establish a fixed catch rate or a required number of bait throws.
Normal Glowfish versus Glowfish King
The Angler profession’s Intermediate trial says to catch a Glowfish; the Expert step says to catch two King fish. Do not turn a general Glowfish request into the autumn-midnight King hunt unless your current quest specifically names the King. Check the exact fish and quest label before waiting an entire season.
Fishing progression blocked after the update
Version 1.09.7731 fixes boat rental at Starsand Port blocking the Intermediate Angler training quest, and fixes Delphin failing to return after following the player to sea. If either problem stops the next profession step, update and retry the relevant interaction before abandoning your fishing progression.
The same patch fixes Fish Tank entries appearing before their conditions were met. A fish appearing in that display was therefore not reliable proof of actual collection progress on the affected build. Check the catch and current quest progress as well as the tank. The patch does not announce a new King-fish season or a guaranteed catch method.
